Dalam rangka menyambut HUT RI ke-75 akan diselenggarakan pada 17 Agustus 2020 mendatang. Dewan Pengurus Cabang Persatuan Pewarta Warga Indonesia (DPC. PPWI) Kabupaten Lampung Utara (Lampura) menggelar Rapat Koordinasi (Rakor) bersama DPP PPWI Pusat serta pengurus PPWI se – Sumbagsel (Sumatera Bagian Selatan).
Kegiatan silaturahmi itu dilaksanakan selain untuk mengkolaborasikan program kerja, DPC PPWI Lampung Utara dengan Pemerintah Daerah khususnya, PPWI regional se – Sumbagsel pada umumnya.
Dalam penyampaiannya, Ketua DPN PPWI Pusat, Wilson Lalengke, S.Pd. M.Sc. M.H menuturkan, sampaikanlah informasi dengan sebenar-benarnya karena adanya PPWI untuk mencerdaskan warga dalam mendapatkan informasi, tuturnya.
Ditambahkannya, kita sebagai pewarta harus dapat bijak memperoleh sebelum menyebarkan informasi sesuai dengan kejadian dan narasumber jangan sampai informasi yang kita sebarkan tersebut ialah informasi hoax.
Sementara itu, Plt. Bupati Lampung Utara, H. Budi Utomo S.E. M.M dalam sambutannya mengatakan, dalam Memperingati HUT RI ke-75 tahun ini, kami merasa bangga karena dapat saling silaturahmi dengan pengurus DPN PPWI Pusat, ucapnya.
“Kami mengucapkan selamat datang yang dari luar Lampung Utara melalui jurnalistik dan tanpa jurnalistik apa yang menjadi program serta Informasi tidak dapat diketahui oleh masyarakat dan dengan pemberitaan dari rekan – rekan dapat mendorong pembangunan di Lampung Utara ini, harapnya.
Selain Plt. Bupati Lampung Utara, H. Budi Utomo, S.E. M.M, turut hadir pula Kabag. Humas Polres Lampung Utara, Iptu Zulkarnaen. Kasubsi Intel, Kajari Lampung Utara Rinaldo, Kabid Ormas Kesbangpol Lampung Utara Swisnu.
